Family planning is reducing teenage pregnancy among the youth.

TEENAGE GIRLS INVOLMENT IN FAMILY PLANNING IS REDUCING TEENAGE PREGNANCY. 


The head of family planning unit at the Berekum Zongo Clinic,  Mrs. Dorcas Kissiwaa has said family planning is helping a lot of women to space their child bearing periods. 


According to her, teenage girls have also welcomed family planning mechanisms which has helped curb teenage pregnancy. 


She added that, family planning is not dangerous as people perceive it but cautioned women to stop buying unprescribed medicines for family planning from road side chemical sellers. 


A client at the clinic testified that family planning has helped space her children since it has help them in their family planning and development.

BEREKUM OMANHENE RENAMES ROUNDABOUT AFTER MR. YAW OBENG. The Omanhene of Berekum, Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II has named the Berekum roundabout as Yaw Beng Roundabout in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region.  The renaming of the roundabout was made possible after consultations with the Berekum Traditional Council on the efforts of the late Yaw Obeng (S.O. Frimpong) who massively supported Berekum Education Trust Fund when the need arise. According to Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II, the late Yaw Obeng helped the traditional council erect the monument at the roundabout. He explained the reason for renaming the roundabout, is to help motivate and encourage others to also live a selfless life to support Berekum as Mr. S.O. Frimpong did. Assembly man donates 300 mathematical sets to BECE candidates at Seikwa.

ASSEMBLY MEMBER DONATES MATHEMATICAL SET AND PENS TO BECE CANDIDATES AT SEIKWA. The Assembly Member of Abouso-Adantasi Electoral Area at Seikwa in the Tain District of the Bono Region, Hon. Sampson Mensah Akrosumah aka Tuga has donated a set of mathematical sets and pens to over 300 BECE candidates. The assembly man who also lectures at St. Ambrose College of Education at Dormaa-Akwamu with keen interest in education supplied the mathematical set to the students to boost their confidence as they will write their exams on 14th September, 2020.
